White Sox Add Lucroy On Minors Deal (report) (www.mlb.com)

The White Sox have agreed to a Minor League deal with catcher

, according to a report from MLB Network insider Jon Heyman. The club has not confirmed the report.

Lucroy, 34, appeared in one game for the Red Sox last season. He’s a two-time All-Star with a career .274/.335/.416 line in 11 seasons, including the first seven with Milwaukee.

Lucroy would join a group of catchers vying for the backup role behind Yasmani Grandal. That group is likely to include 2016 top pick Zack Collins, Yermín Mercedes and Seby Zavala.
