Twins Add Righty Anderson In Deal With SF (

The Twins announced Thursday night that they have acquired right-hander

from the Giants in exchange for outfielder LaMonte Wade Jr.

Anderson, 26, made his MLB debut with the Giants in 2019, and appeared in 46 games (16 starts) for them through the 2020 season. His career ERA is 5.17 over 111 1/3 innings, with a 1.8 strikeout-to-walk ratio. He was originally selected in the third round of the 2016 Draft by the Red Sox out of the University of Florida. Boston traded him to San Francisco in the deal that sent Eduardo Núñez to the Red Sox in 2017.

Wade, 27, was a ninth-round pick of the Twins in the 2015 Draft out of the University of Maryland, also making his Major League debut in 2019. He hit .211/.336/.347 in 113 plate appearances for the Twins through the 2020 campaign.
