The ’40 Home Runs In A Season’ Quiz (www.yardbarker.com)

Despite being 40 years of age,

designated hitter Nelson Cruz has shown no signs of slowing down. Last year, he slashed .303/.397/.505 with 16 home runs and 33 RBI in just 53 games, good for a sixth place finish in the AL MVP voting. Still, no DH in the National League for the 2021 season limited Cruz’s market this offseason. Minnesota certainly didn’t mind, as they were ultimately able to re-sign their best slugger for another season. The Twins don’t look to be done spending either. They’ll need to add more talent if they hope to keep up with the Chicago White Sox in the AL Central this year.

Which brings us to today’s quiz of the day. Nelson Cruz has eclipsed the 40 HR mark four times in his career, all within the last seven seasons. So with that in mind, how many of the last players from every MLB team to hit 40 or more home runs can you name in five minutes?

Good luck!
