The A’s have acquired shortstop

from the Rangers for outfielder/designated hitter Khris Davis, a source told MLB.com’s Jesse Sanchez on Saturday. The clubs have not confirmed.

Texas is also getting catcher Jonah Heim, who is the A’s No. 9-ranked prospect, and right-hander Dane Acker, while Oakland is set to receive Minor League catcher Aramis Garcia and cash, according to MLB Network insider Ken Rosenthal.

Andrus has spent his 12-year career with Texas, earning two All-Star selections and leading the team to a World Series berth in 2010 and ’11. Davis, who is entering the final year of his two-year contract extension, has 158 homers over five seasons with Oakland.
