One of the nation’s hottest offenses with Heisman frontrunner Kyle Trask hasn’t fared well either, struggling to stay on the field against a feisty, upset-minded Commodores team that’s still in search of its first win.

“Vanderbilt is challenging Florida to play at their pace,” ESPN commentator Dan Orlovsky said during the second quarter. “You have to play at the urgency we are. Right now, Florida is not matching Vanderbilt’s urgency, which is what Derek Mason told us (would happen) this week.”

The Gators entered Saturday’s game ranked ninth in the SEC in total defense as Todd Grantham continues to face the critics despite Florida’s rise in the polls. On the other side, Vanderbilt’s offense ranks 102nd nationally and is having its way with the SEC East leaders.
