Fernando Tatis Jr. already drew Michael Jordan comparisons when he showed some serious hops to make a leaping grab this summer. The Padres superstar shortstop basically transformed into the Jordan logo with a glove when he robbed George Springer of a base hit:

Well, Tatis decided to really show off his hoop skills recently. Given the true all-around explosive talent that he shows off on the baseball field every day, it’s not a surprise that he’s the same on the court.
Tatis first nailed a jumper from beyond the arc before driving to the hoop and finishing with a two-handed slam dunk. Yeah, forget James Harden, maybe the Nets should have acquired Tatis instead.

Mookie Betts — already a two-sport star — was also spotted playing basketball earlier this offseason, which is proof that we definitely need a one-on-one tournament between the two best baseball-playing basketball stars.
Oh yeah, sorry about M.J. No hard feelings.

Michael Clair writes for MLB.com. He spends a lot of time thinking about walk-up music and believes stirrup socks are an integral part of every formal outfit.
