The Reds acquired right-hander Art Warren from the Rangers on Wednesday for cash considerations, the teams announced.

Warren’s only Major League experience came in 2019 with the Mariners. The 27-year-old reliever pitched in six games as a September callup, all scoreless appearances, with five strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.

Warren spent most of the 2020 season at the Mariners’ alternate training site in Tacoma. The Rangers claimed him off waivers on Oct. 21, but designated him for assignment on Dec. 26 after signing Japanese right-hander Kohei Arihara.

Warren was a 23rd-round pick by the Mariners in the 2015 Draft and spent all of his professional career with Seattle until the Rangers claimed him.
