AP Top 25 Football Rankings Updated (www.cbssports.com)

The AP top 25 football rankings were due for a shakeup after four ranked teams took losses over the weekend. And heading into Week 13 of the football season also means the debut of the 2020 College Football Playoff rankings.

With the rankings set to debut on Tuesday night, we can get a glimpse into how those will look with the latest updates in the AP Poll.

In many ways, conferences saw teams take control of their destinies toward a title game, including decisive winners on both sides of the Big Ten as well as Cincinnati’s hard-fought win at UCF and assertive performances from Iowa State and Oklahoma at the head of the Big 12 table.

COVID-19 cancellations and postponements remained an unfortunate theme, too, including the shocking last-second call of the Clemson-Florida State game. When the College Football Playoff rankings debut in two nights, Clemson will have not played since the Notre Dame game.

But until then, here is what the media views as the 25 best teams in college football.
